Meeting between Taknia Libya Engineering Company (TLEC) and Sirte Oil Company (SOC)

In the context of the periodic follow up of TLEC to the Oil Companies contracting with them, to carry out engineering and technical work to identify the difficulties and challenges facing the workflow of contracted projects, a meeting was held this morning, Monday 02/11/2020, through video conference system between TLEC and SOC in order to follow up and discuss the progress of the projects subject to the contract between the two parties namely:

• Front End Engineering Design Study for Hateiba Field
• Feasibility Study for CO2 Injection project at North Zelten

In view of the lack of actual commencement and implementation of work on these projects as a result of the spread of the CORONA pandemic and the precautionary measures that have been taken to combat it, which negatively affected the progress of start of work. The two sides discussed everything that would overcome the difficulties and review the alternative and options available and the measures that will be taken during the coming period to accelerate the actual commencement and implementation of these important projects and ensuring their completion on time. Also, the technical support contracts and some other issues were discussed in addition to discussing prospects for future cooperation between the two Companies.

The meeting was attended by Mr. Jadallah Al Awakly (NOC Member of the Board of Directors and Chairman of the Board of Directors of TLEC), Mr. Issa Milad (a member of the Board of TLEC), Mr. Zaki Bayoud (Managing Director of TLEC) and a number of Concerned Department Managers.

On behalf of SOC, Mr. Masoud Suleiman Musa, Chairman of the Management Committee and a number of Concerned Department Managers and Specialist attended.
